Key Responsibilites

  • Lead Kubernetes architecture assessments at the enterprise level.
  • Develop automation tooling for Kubernetes environments.

  • Select the most suitable tools to meet diverse application needs.
  • Ensure timely implementation of security patches and platform upgrades.
  • Take ownership of and refine connected toolchains.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Kubernetes Administrator or in a similar role within a large-scale production environment.
  • Proficiency with various Kubernetes distributions, including Rancher Kubernetes Engine, OpenShift, EKS, and AKS.
  • Strong background in managing bare-metal infrastructure and related technologies.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines, including Helm package deployments.
  • Familiarity with Canal CNI and NetScalers for Kubernetes networking.
  • In-depth understanding of Kubernetes multi-tenancy models and RBAC.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in the Go programming language is required, with prior open-source contributions to Rancher being highly preferred.

Job Duties

  • Respond promptly to technical issues, incidents, and service requests from clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure that all support inquiries are acknowledged and addressed within the defined response time frame, maintaining a high level of responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues that may impact the platform's availability and performance.
  • Monitor system health and proactively identify potential issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
