Key Responsibilites
- Lead Kubernetes architecture assessments at the enterprise level.
- Develop automation tooling for Kubernetes environments.
- Contribute to open-source initiatives, leaving your mark on the community.
- Work with customers on platform as a product principals
- Elevate the developer experience with automation
- Select the most suitable tools to meet diverse application needs.
- Ensure timely implementation of security patches and platform upgrades.
- Take ownership of and refine connected toolchains.
- Enjoy a flexible work schedule, promoting work-life balance.
- Coach customers on how to craft a comprehensive platform roadmap.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kubernetes Administrator or in a similar role within a large-scale production environment.
- Proficiency with various Kubernetes distributions, including Rancher Kubernetes Engine, OpenShift, EKS, and AKS.
- Strong background in managing bare-metal infrastructure and related technologies.
- Expertise in configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines, including Helm package deployments.
- Familiarity with Canal CNI and NetScalers for Kubernetes networking.
- In-depth understanding of Kubernetes multi-tenancy models and RBAC.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the Go programming language is required, with prior open-source contributions to Rancher being highly preferred.
Job Duties
- Respond promptly to technical issues, incidents, and service requests from clients and internal teams.
- Ensure that all support inquiries are acknowledged and addressed within the defined response time frame, maintaining a high level of responsiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues that may impact the platform's availability and performance.
- Monitor system health and proactively identify potential issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
